Dave Smith has announced that master builder and all-around great guy Eric Treves has the honor of building the 2021 SEMA F9!
We are honored that Eric will be documenting the build here on TheFactoryFiveForum.com. The car is being loaded onto a Stewart Transport trunk TODAY for the trip down to Alabama.
Let's wish Eric the best of luck with this historic build! It's going to be exciting watching this come together!!

We've all seen Eric's work, I look forward to it! Will be interesting to see what FFR is actually giving him to start with given that the F9 isnt a kit yet.

I'm assuming Eric won't be writing the build manual as he goes along, no time for that with the pace he keeps.

This means great pictures and ideas, fun build updates, and then complete silence leaving us hanging and craving more a month before SEMA.
Eric, you can't just get us addicted like that and cut off the supply so quickly!

Hey - all - very humbled by all the attention on this. I am very excited to share this journey with all of you. I will be doing progress updates as always - but like always; once we get dressed for SEMA - the curtain will go up :D This should be fun!!!

Can't wait to see. Judging by the speed of the progress on the GTM shouldn't be too long...

I had the good fortune to see Erik's Black Mamba many years ago at the beginning of the Hot Rod Power Tour.
With that said, I can't wait to see the Fabulous F9 Hyper-Car become a reality by being brought to life by Mr. Treves.

Can’t wait to watch this build! I’m picking up my own 818S near the end of this month, but am fascinated by all things FFR.

There will be a planned pause in the build update in a few weeks when the Rolling Chassis and Body go to paint.... much like where my GTM is right now.
Paint is scheduled "In a few weeks" and you haven't got the bits yet. lol, that is nuts. Good luck!

I know that I'm coming here "after the fact", but was there an actual build thread posted for this build? My assumption is that there was not, but wanted to ask... Just in case it's posted somewhere else.
Thank you,
Mike
