The 2018 SEMA Daytona Is Alive & Well!

To add to the story...when we built it at SEMA it was put together using SS self tappers for all of the aluminum panels, no caulk or other adhesives and no cockpit insulation because at that time the plan was to disassemble the car and then do it all again and rebuild it...this time permanently at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale the following January. As is often the case Dave's focus went another direction and the car went across the block at BJ exactly as it was when we loaded it back into the hauler after SEMA. It sold to a specialty car dealer from Michigan and obviously has been sold at least once more. All indications are that with the exception of having a few miles added and a number stuck on it's tail it's still in the same state it was when we finished the "temporary" build. I suspect that this one is destined to live out it's life in various collections and never really get much use. I watched video but frankly it was kind of painful because these guys don't seem to really know what they're talking about but it's fun to see the car again.

Jeff

I knew you and your build buddies would love to see it; however, I had no idea that it was going to be a "Cringe-Worthy Moment" for you.
I'm sure your pals will be a little perturbed too if they view it.

Steve,
Not really cringe worthy. I guess as it is just the difference between someone with a technical focus rather than a sales focus.
