Purchased my car 4 years ago it was a 2014 build with Kumho tires. The car is equipped with power steering and it always felt very twitchy to me. I was in the process of gathering the parts to make the steering adjustable. Well, I had the car serviced as was told I really need to replace the tires......And shazam no more twitchy car, Nitto 555 G2's car tracks better more stable in turns even rides better. I also went from 275's in front to 245's per FFR's recommendation. Tires make a huge difference, now to return the stuff to Summit for the adjustable PS

Nice. Yea, I bought mine with an old set of Kumhos also. They were old despite only having 1,100 miles on them. They were hard as rocks. It was like driving on ice. New set of NT01's fixed it right up. They say tires are the single most important thing on any car. Glad you're happy with them.

Similar experience here. Went from older sumitomos to nitto 555G2. 315's in the rear on a MKIV. Went from a handful to brilliant.

Just swapped out a set of 2016 MT Street Comps for a set of Nitto NT01s last month. Totally changed the car for the better - a Steve Austin like transformation. Faster, stronger, better! In all seriousness, if the DOT dates on your tires are older than 4 years you are doing yourself and your car a disservice if you don’t replace them.

I have been to several professional racing / driving schools, and one of the most preached subjects was tires, tires, tires! I have gone from crappy stock assembly line tires on a street car to a good performance radial and the change was like night to day. I have even had a race car that ran slicks, times were horrible with Goodyear's but put on Hoosiers and the car came alive. Race engineer I worked with said it must be a chassis build thing, other than that he had no answer.

I ended up getting the NT555 G2's from 4wheelonline because of the recommendations of my friends. So far, I am impressed with these tires. Handling and control are great both at low and high speeds. They do decently well on wet roads also.
