Well, I'm almost too embarrassed to ask, but how in the heck do you remove the rod end from the shaft of the shock? We have the hat and spring removed, and normally you just loosen the jam nut and spin the rod end off the top of the shaft.....but it will not budge. I even tried clamping the shaft in a vice between wood blocks, rubber blocks....and nothing we have tried can hold the shaft from turning while we try to get the end off. Many times there is a definite step that you can run the jam nut down against and then hold the jam nut to loosen the end....but there's really not on this shock. the threads just sort of run out....so if we try that it's just going to screw up the threads of the jam nut, and then the nut will be jammed on there just like the rod end is now and we won't be able to get the jam nut off. Any suggestions?

PS...we're doing this so we can install the Stance air cup lift.....

I don't recall the series of Koni shocks we have and it might depend on year supplied. Hopefully this helps.

Then heat should be applied.

Unless anyone has some other suggestions, I guess we'll try some heat on Monday and see if that does the trick....

Thanks for the input!

Well that was ridiculously easy!! About 30 seconds of propane torch and it spun right off with zero effort. Thanks, guys!!

Glad to hear that. I'm taking apart a set of new Konis for the same reason (Air cups) and ran into the same problem. Got one disassembled with a lot of effort but will use heat on the other this morning. Thanks!
