Hi All,

How long after completion before Stewart left Wareham? Needless to say I'm a bit restless and Stewart can't give a good timeline at this point. FFR finished up two weeks ago, but I"m chomping at the bit... I'm getting very used to Amazon now a days, what should I expect from Stewart?

There's no one answer. Depends on the planned routes, truck/driver availability, etc. Not unusual at all for kits to hang around for a bit after they're done. Especially now considering how busy they are. Then will depend on your location and where you're at on the planned route. The contact at Stewart (was Scott just a few months ago for my truck delivery) was very good about keeping me informed of the schedule and progress. Assume you're talking to them?

Mine was untypically fast. I only live 4 hours from FFR but I didn't want to pay sales tax so I had it delivered (I'm mildly concerned paying in MA on parts is not the same as paying on a "car" in NY). I completed 02/13/21 and had the kit in hand on 03/03/21. I'm guessing the average is 3 weeks to a month.

Thanks Guys,

I am in contact with them, but they just don't know when I'll be loaded up yet. This led to some curiosity regarding others experiences, just trying to get my expectations right.

I thought my head was going to explode quite honestly. I wasn't sleeping a ton. The first few days it was here I was still pretty frantic feeling like I had to get "crackin". After about a week a calm took over. It's worth the wait and honestly more fun than I expected.

My delivery last summer was fairly smooth and happened within the times provided by Stewart. Cant remember if the driver told me or I saw it on the forums or social media, but Stewart has at times struggled to fully staff their fleet with drivers. I think when I got mine delivered, they had two trucks running the FFR stuff??? And one of the drivers was new maybe?? Stewart also contracts deliveries for an airplane kit company (maybe more, I don't know). I suspect if everyone is buying/building Covid projects.... might be hard to keep the trucks flowing constantly with pickups at the FFR plant.

As far as expectations.... the "backordered" items will probably be more frustrating than anything else. My experience wasn't bad, but parts availability in a bunch of different industries is getting tight

Agreed on both fronts, they do deliver hobby airplane parts, but your back order list of parts will be the much bigger issue that you will face. Brace yourself to explore the manual and not go in order.

The good thing is that once on the truck all the deliveries to friends I have experienced went really well. In the last 48 hours or so they all received texts/calls keeping them apprised of the expected eta. The drivers seem to all be really nice, helpful, and capable people

Build Date 3-13-2021 , Deliver this past Saturday 3-27-2021. I am 6 hours from FF in SE PA, was the first one off the truck. Also Todd from Stewart should call one week out from your loading date onto the Stewart trailer.
