Hey Everyone, Hope everyone is keeping safe!!

Well i took her off of the jack stands and roled her out into the drive way. It was a big moment.

First thing i did was try and get into the car. 5' foot 9 and 230ibs. Well lets just say i should of videoed taped it and put it online lololololol

Here are some pics.

So one thing for sure, i started to do more alignment on the front hood.

I believe i am gonna have to remove the hood and HSF all the drill holes that i did on it and start again in mounting it. Im finding that i trimmed too much long ago. and the curves by the firewall going down towards the mounts are too prow on one side and barely on the fire wall lip on the other.

I kept my hood during assembly in my Car Hauler. It did sit on the ground at the firewall end and had the nose on cardboard feeling it off the ground. It sat in that position during two winters and two summers. Im thinking that the fire wall end might of deformed.

Here are some pics when i trimmed the hood. The purpose of these pics is to show what to probably not to do at this stage lolol

Thanks for showing us, it does look like it needs a bit of adjustment. Is there no adjustment on the hinges themselves? That is quite a bit of mismatch though. I'm sure you can set it right.

I guess the lesson would be hold off on hinging until ready to actually put the hood on.

Off-topic, can you tell me please, is that a door latch on the side of the door (the silver item)?

I think what you are referring to is the side marker light to light up the door/car number or "gumball"

Yes, that is correct. It is a license plate light to light up the number.

So, been doing some thinking. I am gonna add HSF t0 the edge and extend it. If i can get the hood to sit on the rubber mounts along the edge of the firewall, it will go a long way for final adjustments and in creating a presentable gap all the way around. Currently the hood is just touching the edge of the rubber mounts

Looking good! Love the gumball lights— I still think I may add some to mine in the future.
