I was on call all weekend which was a bear of a weekend and had today off. So, I was finishing up the wiring on my Roadster and installed my horn. When I smashed the button........ I had a visceral response. It snatched me back to being a child and my dad hitting the horn on the 1975 Gran Torino Station Wagon. Maybe I am tired but it really pulled on my heart strings and I Immediately called my dad. I just love it!!!! Sounds stupid but this was just as emotional as dropping my engine in LOL!

Also I picked up an aluminum horn button per link from Papa. Big thank you!!!!! It looks so clean with the CF Dash.
Picture for your time.

I agree. The sound of certain horns just move you. I love it when at Monterey Car Week when the judges makes them toot the horns.

The CF dash does look nice!

Looking at your shifter mounting, I bet you need to move it to the left side of the stalk coming out of the tranny rather than the right side like you have it. It will be more centered in the trans tunnel cover hole that way. I had to change mine too.

The sound of the horn makes me jump every time my 3yr old daughter hits the button while I'm working in the engine bay

I too was surprised at how load and beefy the horn is! Once you are out cruising check out people's expressions when they hear the big sound coming out of such a little car.

I like the looks of that button. I wonder if it would be a good replacement for my current start button that is wearing out. Anyone know if it would work?

I think size wise it works well but I have long skinny fingers. But it is flush so as long as you mash in the general area your horn will make its glorious sound :)

So does FFR even supply a horn with the complete kit?

yes they do. The button is just a black plastic one. Looks like a button from an old arcade machine.

Here is the supplied horn button I swapped out...
