Not sure if it matters, but should parts that get assembled be powder coated first, or assemble and then coat? In particular I'm thinking about the sheet metal pieces that go behind the grill and below the radiator on the '35 truck and probably on the '33 as well.

There was a thread not too long ago asking the same question. In the end I think it was down to half a dozen of one and six of the other - essentially personal preference.
Just be aware that if you drill and tap parts prior to powder coating you may have to chase the threads after powder coat...

I did the fit/align/drill prior to powder coating to reduce the likelihood of scratching the finish. But as Steve mentioned above, you'll likely need to clean out the holes. I also used an air dry Cerakote finish on parts and components that were too aggravating to dissemble or that couldn't take the heat.
