A few months ago we had to move to a new place due to HOA rules in our old place that wanted me to stop building 2 FFR kits a year. I built cars there for 18years but 2 new neighbors threatened to sue me and the HOA over it. Lucky for us we found a nicer place with no HOA or stupid rules to hinder my retirement hobby. It also allowed me to build a new 30x40 shop to work in as well as keep our Airstream safe and clean. A new 2 post lift is on the way for the center bay.
I am currently finishing up my wife, Marsha's 33 and will start on a 818C I bought a month or so back. God has took good care of us in this transition and I look forward to helping someone with their dream car in the future.

That looks like a wonderful space to work in - I'm SO jealous! What lift did you end up with?

I wanted an all American made lift. I ended up with the 9000FP

Looks great. Sometimes adversity and PITA neighbors provide the push to make a change. Seems that you came out on top.

Years ago I was looking at a site condo. Started reading the rule book, had more rules about what I couldn't do than could. Didn't buy.

Finally got my lift installed and now my new shop is fully operational. Started to finish up work on my wife, Marsha's 33. Also will get going on 818C after 33 is done. It has been a long time but I am pleased with the end result.

How do you like the click together plastic flooring? I was thinking of doing that in my garage.

I really like it. To me the Pros out weigh the Cons.
Pros = Easy to install and keep clean. Very easy to work on and move things around.
Cons = Can melt if you are not careful welding, can cause static electricity in very dry weather walking on it. Does expand and contract due to temp so careful spacing is a must.

Beautiful new shop Tom . I too have a race deck floor in my garage.
I installed the free float type very easy to install. My floor had lots of patch work done to it and epoxy was way to much money to get it all leveled out. With the free float it drains and I can take a leaf blower a couple times per year and blow all the crud out from under it. Rob

Good for you; a guy should have a proper work space - Had a large, empty warehouse for first six months of build; thoroughly enjoyed the experience, then had to retreat into my enclosed, one hole carport. A tight space (and my advanced age) caused some otherwise interesting projects to become less-than fun-chores and it just takes a lot longer to do stuff.
