Hi all, ran into an interesting problem last night fitting the steering column--there is a major Coyote pedal clearance issue! See pictures below. The upper ear significantly blocks the steering shaft. I tried trimming the lower part of the upper ear, but there's still interference and I'm worried about taking too much meat off of the pedal. Before I take off any more meat I wanted to check in with you guys.

I did find this post with a similar problem (https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?32060-Factory-Five%92s-new-Coyote-accelerator-pedal-mount-for-the-Roadster), and it looks like Igordon's solution was just to trim all of the excess off of the upper ear. I also had to shave down a lot of the right sight of the pedal as did Igordon.

Thoughts/suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Height of steering column above the 2x2. I expect this to lower maybe 1/8" with the tightening of the bearing bolts.

Best pic I could get of the interference with the upper ear on the coyote pedal.

Top view of pedal mount showing there's not really much room on the upper end to move the pedal and mount up to provide more clearance.

I did a lot of modifications to the coyote gas pedal to get it where I wanted it. Posted about it on the other forum (not to take you away from this one, just didn't double post)
