Well... I guess I need to start by saying I have a Cobra problem. I'm told admitting to the problem is the first step to recovery. I guess that notion remains to be seen as I am just starting my journey to build my dream car... sooo, I'll just go with it for now. I have Cobras all around me in my life. Die cast collectables, flags, emblems, books (sometimes I pretend I can read). Always dreamed of having an actual car, but until about 6 months ago it seemed to be no more than a fleeting goal never to obtain. Funny how life is.
Yup, funny thing... "Dreams". Turns out when hold onto them long enough sometimes good things happen. All signs look go for ordering my own roadster kit on in the next month or so. I feel like I'm gonna burst. Thanks to excellent marketing skills on my part (and a lot of family love built up on past goods deeds) the family is actually excited as well. Reality is they understand what I'm getting myself into even less than I do. Shhhh! don't tell them... our secret. They love surprises... really! ;)
Getting serious for a moment. I'm both excited and terrified by the challenge heading my way. I have a healthy set of tools, a bit of automotive "wrenching know-how", and vision of the end game. I figure combining that with the support I have seen via postings from this forum, there isn't much I should not be able to overcome.
On that note, I look forward the process. I look forward to advise and opinions from this community. Most of all, I can't wait until my kit arrives and the dream starts to go together.
Happy motoring!
