looks like material to make door pockets

My kit didn't have anything like that, but did you look at your inventory sheets for the box they were in to see what they might be?

Thank you David and Papa!. I was thinking something for the door since we have a right and left. I have not checked packing lists yet.
It's entirely possible that they don't belong to a Roadster kit at all and just found their way into one of your boxes by mistake. They look like the same material as the dash vinyl but the fact that they are finished on two edges indicates that they are not just scrap. Someone with a different type of kit is probably missing them.

did this come w/ a mk4 kit or are you starting up an older MK model from someone else?
the precut holes at the top of your pic interest me. maybe then are meant for the 4 bolts holding the door on. but then again that would make for a very interesting looking door pocket.

They are intended to be used as door pockets (although in 20 years of being involved with these cars I can't recall ever seeing anyone do so).

These pieces came with the original kit. MK 3.1 I took delivery long ago and am now nearing completion with the help of some high school students in the South Adams High School vocational Automotive Technology program. They are doing a great job!

I used one as a DS door pocket on my Mk 1.5. It is actually quite handy for phone, mask, glasses, etc..

the four holes go over the door studs and the other end goes behind the door latch. I think screws along the bottom to form a pocket.
