View Full Version : Turn Signal Wiring - 3 Wires | No Diagram

All,
On the turn signal there are 3 wires and no wiring diagram in the box, picture below, do you know what each wire is for? I'm not using a Ron Francis Harness...

Below are the instructions from the manual?
Wire the turn signals up to the chassis harness. On the light, the red wire is the dim light and the green
wire is the bright light and the brass ring is the ground.

I believe dim (red) goes to the parking light wire, bright (green) is the turn signal...

Black is Ground
Yellow/Red stripe is Dim - Night indicator function
Green wire is Bright - Turn Signal function

You really need to check them on a battery. Cant tall you how many I have found wired differently

Ditto Mikes suggestion. They are not all colored coded the same. Simple battery test solves a lot of questions.

Testing each light before wiring is a must. Then ID them for later.

I have a bench DC power supply and I tested both configurations. Confirm that green is turn (bright) and yellow/red is park (dim).

Does that actually print on the heat shrink? Didn't know you can do that, if that's what it does.
