Hi everyone! Finally picked up my brand new Long Block on Saturday! I have a bunch of stuff ready to go for it but I know I still need some things.
Can anyone tell me what I STILL need to get?
I have (coils, coil covers, injectors, fuel rail, intake, throttle body, fuel rail covers, Flywheel and that thing for the crank sensor.)
I will try and add a few pics. I know I need an alternator kit?? And, I believe that this has an oil cooler that needs to come off but I am not sure.
If I knew what to GOOGLE, I would...but I have no idea what I still need:)144609144610

Yes the oil cooler needs to come off. There is a replacement nipple for mounting the oil filter without the cooler.
For the accessory drive, you can go Ford OEM or Vintage Air has their front runner kit.
You will need a engine wiring harness.
Does you intake have the Charge Motion Control Valves on the back? If not, you will need to get them or get a kit to lock the intake runners. Locking the runners has its pros and cons.
Look at the thread for EdwardB and his 2nd Gen Coyote roaster build. He has a diagram of the intake system that might serve as a partial guide. Buying a good service manual for 2015-17 Mustang could also serve as a guide.
I used Levittown Ford Parts to source my Controls Pack, good prices. You could consider calling them and see if they can help with your parts list.

I failed to mention that I DO indeed have the engine harness and the control Pack!
I have the Boss 302 Intake and I have no idea.
I will try and look up what accessory drive is and means (sorry I just do not know) - But I am trying to learn:)
Locking the runners? Oh Boy...I am certainly out of my element.
Thank you for the message...I will try and look up some of these things to figure out what you are even talking about:)

Since you have the Boss 302 intake, don't worry about locking the intake runners. Although the looks of the Boss 302 intake cannot be beat, it is not the best performing intake. When the Gen 2 Coyote was introduced, it included many of the mods Ford incorporated into the Boss 302 version of the 1st Gen Coyote. For better idle, driveability, and some fuel economy, Ford added the Charge Motion Control Valves. Think of them as a way to have variable geometry in the intake runners. The Boss 302 version of the 1st Gen Coyote was intended for higher RPM operation. It gave up some low end torque for high RPM HP. The 2nd Gen Coyote almost matched the Boss 302, 435 vs 444 HP, but with more torque available lower in the rev range. The best intake for these engines is the 3rd Gen manifold. There are a number of manifold shootouts you can read for reference.
The accessory drive describes the brackets and pulleys required to mount and drive the alternator, AC compressor if used, etc. On my 2nd Gen Coyote I have the OEM setup. The block is setup for mounting the alternator. I would have to look to see if a bracket is needed for the AC compressor.
If you are not familiar with the build threads posted here by EdwardB (Paul), take the time to look at them. His 2nd Gen Coyote roadster build should answer a lot of questions.
Good luck,
Alan

For a tutorial on what the Charge Motion Control Valves do for you, check out Engine Masters Season 5 episode 79 (https://www.motortrendondemand.com/detail/engine-masters-go-to-school-on-the-gen-iii-hemi/1135655/). They use a different engine, but the principle & effect are the same as the Coyote.
