This is a plea for help. I found a guy who will do my headliner on mobile service. It comes at a steep premium. But I don’t have a choice. My body is in Temecula and my chassis is 90 miles away and my upholstery guy won’t go down to Temecula so I have to bring in a mobile service. All that said it’s impossible for me to get the photos I need. I didn’t have the forethought to take these shots. It would be of great great help for those guys with finished coupes or coupes that have their body on and all the aluminum installed, to post detailed photos here of the following
A pillars
Center of Roof
Roof as it relates to both window openings.
Roof/ B pillars
Roof are it relates to the rear hatch glass
C pillar or roof as it constants the truck panels.
I’m basically trying to establish the shape of the headliner, clearances and how to make terminations. All this info is going to be used so I can get an accurate estimate before I commit to what will undoubtedly be thousands of dollars. I can’t find a single guy in Temecula that will do mobile work so this would be a huge help as this guy would have to make that 90 mile drive down just to give me an estimate and if it’s outrageous everyone will be wasting their time and money cause I have to pay that trip charge.
I feel like a fool for not taking these photos but it just shows how green I am at building a car.
Thank you soooo much in advance

The head liner is not a hard install. I did it at the painters after the body was ready for paint.
Turtled the body on a moving blanket and glued the FFR foam liner then a finished liner. I cut separate pieces for the A pillars as the joint is hidden behind the roll cage more or less. Probably took me les then an hour to do the job. Used car door trim to finish off the edges.

Here you can see what that looks like around the windshield opening.

That a good description and a good idea about the door trim to finish it off. I’m trying to figure out how far down the B pillar and C pillar (fastback portion) I have to go before heading into the wheel wells.
I’m not using the FFR supplied headliner. I was planning to match it with the leather on the roll bars. Just to be more forward about my situation, he is going to charge me $700 to go down and make a template and give me a firm estimate. That estimate could be $2,000 to $5,000 (including the $700) and so the more info I give him now the more accurate ball park he can give me over the phone. That’s way more money than I would want to spend on a headliner but honestly I’m in too deep, I don’t know how I can turn back at this point and it’s a lot cheaper than screwing up Jeff’s paint job and having to pay him to redo it trying to transport the body to my upholstery shop.
More pictures would be awesome if you have time John or anyone else thank you so much.

Got photos from factory five. Now I know what I gotta get done. Heading down to Jeff’s on Friday to meet with the mobile upholstery guy. I’m still sick about how much this is going to cost. I’m in too deep gotta just finish strong and lick my wounds when it’s done. Thankfully I’ve come up with a few saves on this project on cost so over all hopefully I’ll come in just above my ever increasing imaginary budget.

If the body is off the chassis I think you could still do the same thing. That is a lot of money for a relatively small section of leather. B and C pillar are really non existent as the rear panels are covering that section. I would talk to da Bat and see what he thinks.

It might be less. It’s hard to get an over the phone quote. But it’s not the leather so much but the work to get all the terminations around the windshield and doors really perfected and to foam the roof. The drive time is another thing I’m paying for. But a hide of that leather I used on the roll bar is $550. We’ll see I’m hoping it will be less.
Those are great pictures John I super appreciate it!
