Hello All!

The day has finally arrived and now that my kit is here, I can’t wait to start the build. This is going to be a father/son project (with me sneakin’ time on my own when he ain’t looking). I have backyard mechanic skills, driven primarily by being either too cheap or too curious to pass up a weekend auto project. My oldest son must have been watching because he was in the trade for the first part of his adult life. I believe his skills will come in handy (as well as his tool set...). I have read a few completed build threads so far and this forum is truly the reason why I felt confident in pulling this trigger. Thank you advance for all the help you all will more than likely be giving me in the very near future.

Here are the major components ordered in the kit:
Complete kit
Powder coated chassis
Leather seats
Body cutouts
Power steering
3 Link
GPS gauges
18 inch Halibrand wheels
Wind wings
Sun visors
Wiper kit
Chrome roll bars
Side louvers
Dash support
Wilwood brakes
Leather steering wheel

Initial mod list:
Front battery mounting kit
Breeze seat mounts
Drop trunk
Cockpit storage cubby
Heated seats
LED external lighting (brand TBD)
Gas-n side pipes
Maybe a top, but not sure on that one just yet (my son laughs at that of course, but his skin is half my age and he isn’t married yet)

Eventual Engine:
347 Blueprint

Since front end components are part of the current POL, I figured getting my feet wet on the rear end would be a good first step. Not too difficult but the spacers on some of the places were tough to fit. Oh and that 1/2" hole on the bottom frame? Yeah, I will be getting a better drill bit kit. Never have I ever burnt through a bit that quickly. Since spindles and brakes won't be here until last April/early May, next step will more than likely be peddle box.
