Cruising down the highway today. Really beautiful Porsche 911 widebody came beside me. As it passed, a woman's hand with great nails was out the window, phone in hand, taking a video of the Cobra. It is true that no matter how exotic a car that meets the Cobra, the Cobra gets all the attention.
Anyhow, I digress. About 5 minutes after that, I go to downshift onto an off ramp, and no clutch pedal. It was just flopping around. So.....I was able to force downshift and get the car home luckily. Looked in the footbox and the pin that holds the clutch pedal to the MC had fallen out. Not sure how this happened as those clips are very hard to get out once in the groove. Perhaps it was never in there correctly to begin with. Either way, I went to Lowes and bought some new clips and spent the next hour or so getting my big hand in that little space with Circlip pliars getting it into place.
The 3/8" clip fit OK, but gets a little spread out with the pliars when compared to the factory one that has virtually no gaps. I used some needle nosed pliars to squeeze it a little tighter around the pin. It does spin in the groove, so I'm thinking its secure. Mine looked like this when completed.

If it comes out again, I'm thinking of drilling a hole and using a cotter pin of some kind. Not much space as those pins are really cut to fit that space. Anyone use anything different from the smooth pin that came with the clutch pedal setup?
