I feel like I have used up my daily questions today lol.

I have searched but am unable to find any info on the following

I am thinking of getting a Dart 347 small block (just in case I want to make upgrades in future)

Is there any issue with using the FFR mounts for 302???

you will likely need to grind off a small amount on the block or the mounts to bolt them on the block. Not a big deal just the Dart block has more reinforcement than the stock Ford block

I usually grind the mount for the clearance. Just figure that Dart put the reinforcement there for a reason. YMMV

X2. Highly recommend the same. Grind on a couple thousand dollar engine block vs. < $200 mounts. Not a hard choice. Also what my engine builder recommended. Had a Dart 347 in my #7750 build. Loved it.

Another option for you is to send them to Mike Forte, he will actually weld new tabs onto the mount that will accommodate a Dart block. I have his mounts available which I did not use for a 351w/Dart. Not sure if they would work for your 347/Dart application, I am planning on putting them up for sale soon. These are for a Roadster so that might also change compatiblity.

Mike Forte modified the supplied F5 mounts for the Dart block for my car. His shop cut and welded up sections of the mounts. I can't remember the price but it was not much.

You could pay some and I love Mike don’t get me wrong, I just spent a ton of money with him this week or you could just follow what I posted and for the cost of the electricity for your angle grinder make a small “U” shaped groove in you motor mount. If you can assemble this car I guarantee you’ll be able to modify them without a welder or any fancy tools and I’ve got all the tools and none of them were needed for this.

I will probably cut out a little piece in mounts.
I really appreciate everyone's input.

I have a lot of learning to do.
