Good morning all, I have been dealing with poor braking on my car since day one and last week bit the bullet and ordered the Wilwood conversion for the Roadster. I am hoping that will be the answer to better brake performance and solve that issue. I took the car out yesterday for about 50 miles and made a stop at a store and used the parking brake to hold the car plus in gear, (old habit) and when I left found the brakes to be dragging. Of course had no tools so I reached around the wheel and pulled and yanked on the parking brake arm on the caliper and it popped free and went on about my ride. My question is, I see the Wilwood caliper is mounted in a different position on the axle from the pictures and do the parking brake cables still reach and are they in a better position for less friction and binding?

Depending on which setup you have, you may want to investigate the piano spring mod for the e-brake cable.

That extra spring on the cable is a great idea. When mine stuck the other day it was only a little extra force needed by hand to relaese them so I think the extra spring will do the job.
