I am currently in the planning stage for ordering a complete MK4 Roadster kit. Looking at 306 CI carbureted engine and wondering about source for catalytic converters. Appreciate any inputs as I am still a "newbie" with respect to MK4 Roadster "street legal" requirements in SOCAL...thanks

Cats are NOT a requirement for CA. registration. However if you need or want a set of cats for your build, I have a set. New, still in the box from F5R.

For California look into getting your car once you are ready to get registered using the SB100 process and you wont need cats

Thanks for the feedback. Do you have any more details on the CATs you have? Bolt-on to 306 CI? Price? Pictures?
Thanks again

Good information. I will certainly try and get smarter on the SB100 process.

Give FFR a call they can tell you everything you need on the cats,
been some time since we used them on any of the cars at the school, so I am sure things have change a little at some point.
Sorry can't help you more.

When you search the CA DMV, use the term SPCNS. SB100 was State Bill 100 which introduced the bill into law.
