Has anyone who is running hood and engine side covers put insulation under the hood on the backside to prevent excessive heat on the hood from the engine?
Is this even a concern in regards to the paint on the hood?
Thanks

I doubt its a problem as all the roadster have a similar set up and never caused a problem. Guys with hoods on should chime in.

Yup....I'm not sure if it's a problem either, just curious and since I have the hood off for paint prep / paint, now would be the time to do something if I'm going to....I did add side vents so that may eliminate any huge heat issues. I'm also only running a SBF so not a huge engine.

No need for under-hood insulation IMO. Never had a problem with 3 -33's and a 35.

How about using it for noise suppression?

Of all the noise my car makes, I do not think that the hood is much. I mean these cars barely have a muffler. :)
