Hello all.
I have been a long time fan of FFR and the time has come to start a build of my own. a MK-4 Roadster was my original choice but the Type 65 Daytona Coupe has grown on me over the years for its classic looks. I have restored a few cars over the years and I`m looking forward to the challenge of building a car from the ground up and joining the Kit Car community. I`m currently checking off the box`s for a Type 65 Coupe complete kit and having fun watching how fast the $$$$ add up.
The plan is a 302 or 351 F.I. Motor P/S A/C 5 speed trans and IRS rear suspension.

I placed an order for a Coupe at the end of January with a completion date of 5/22. Just for lead time reference.

When I talked to Factory Five last week they are currently estimating about 16 weeks for delivery. will give me plenty of time to make space in the Garage. your Mk4 complete kit looks like it went well for you congratulations.
Where in So. Cal are you? Lots of builders in the area if you need/want help.

If you feeling like venturing North, I've got 3 Roadsters in the shop right now. Two Mk3 and a Mk4. No Type65 right now but the Mk4 is a go-cart while the body is off at paint. Always happy to answer any question.

That would be pretty cool to check out your builds lets see if we can make that happen. I`m still learning how to navigate through this forum. in your location info. I`m assuming the I.E. is the Inland Empire?

Welcome to the forum! I'm just around the block from you in CDM. I've got 2 roadster here, one 3 link and one MKIII with IRS.
