Hi all, I am getting conflicting instructions in the FFR docs for chassis wiring and coyote wiring. Can anyone with experience with the coyote help me out? Thanks in advance!
The chassis wiring instructions say to connect the two clutch safety switch wires:

The coyote wiring instructions say to isolate the two wires:

With a coyote setup that is not used at all.. I broke into the harness and cleaned out all the lines I wasn't going to use including these. Those lines are designed to connect starter solenoid (not used) and start signal on ignition switch. If you don't do a little surgery to remove them one of those will +12 on start feed so taping them and capping the end intended for solenoid is required. They don't do anything.
Clear as mud? Look at the wiring diagram in the ron francis book.

Agreed. Remove those wires. You don't need them with a Coyote installation. The clutch bottom switch provided with the Coyote control pack (which I assume you're using) provides the clutch down safety function and also the direct start wire to the solenoid. You do need the other blue start wire coming out of the ignition switch. Goes to the Coyote harness Starter Motor Request (SMR) wire.
You're experiencing one of the questions I have about the Factory Five Coyote installation instructions. In several cases, including this one, they give several options. But don't explain why you might choose one over the other. In this case, can't think of a single reason you wouldn't want the Coyote system to control the clutch safety and starter motor directly.
