Hi all, cleaning up the RF wiring harness. I am planning to delete the Hot Rod branch of the harness. I am assuming this is simply a matter of cutting the wires at the base of the branch and taping/sealing each wire individually. Can you please confirm there’s nothing more to it than this?

Thanks in advance,
Matt

I hope someone will chime in w/ details. I was helping out a little on a 33 w/ the tail lights and we had one heck of a time getting them working. I don't remember details now but there was something going on w/ it being kind of a universal harness that made it real difficult to get correct.

that's all there is to it. Follow them back as far as you can and cut them off.

Agreed. Just cut if off and cap the ends. I cut them off at different lengths. Just to be cautious. They are branches from the live circuits. So most still are alive. You don't want them touching each other or anything else.

It was right there next to the steering column.

Cutting and capping the wires is all you need to do. I was inspecting all of my factory splices as I found a bad one. When I got to theses wires, they are just double crimped under the metripack connectors so I fully removed any un needed wires to the connectors.

I used the hot rod branch wires as a location to tie on to instead of splicing into the wire at another location.
