Be interesting to see what the car sells for, (unless it doesn't hit the reserve price). Still a far cry from what a 60's Cobra is selling for, but I expect over time the price for these will be getting up there.

I've seen a number of them cross the block at auction. They've been stagnant for years and generally when sold at auction don't come near the original sticker price of 175-195K. When first introduced there were lots of unfulfilled promises that didn't materialize in the actual production cars (CF bodies, rear mounted transaxle, 500 HP) which may explain why only about 250 of what was supposed to be a run of 500 cars were actually produced. Many of those 250 were scooped up by speculators anticipating appreciation that never happened and sit in collections or bounce among owners at auction (I'm sure that I saw the same one sell at Auburn every year for 4 or 5 years back around 2012-2016 or so).

Well the bidding is up to $175k currently. Ends today, so there could still be a flurry of late bids.
It was many, many years, before the Cobra's started hitting the $100k mark, and another decade plus before they started hitting 7 figures. Being it's a 1999, it may take anther decade before the Series 1 reach their pinnacle.:)

It seems to me that over time, the classics will only rise in price, despite the wear and tear. Its restoration will go up in price, but what can you do? It's a classic!
