I am planning on placing a Breeze order soon and was thinking of getting the LCA tubes since I am waiting on backordered LCAs anyway. Anybody have experience with them?

Thanks!

They work GREAT!

Before I installed mine in my MK-II, you could lift the front suspension up to any position and it would stay there - a lot of lube in the bushings didn't get rid of the issue.

Installing the bushing sleeves completely eliminated that condition - lifted suspension would now fall back down to end of travel with NO BIND.

One thing to check is the clearance between the bushings and the frame mount tabs. Installing the sleeves will keep the tabs from crushing on the bushings (the reason for the binding) but will leave a flat washers "gap" so the bushing can now move forward and backward, possibly causing a slight front tire "shimmy". Once I installed a washer/shim to eliminate this gap, shimmy disappeared completely and the ride was dead solid.

One note: the washer must be large enough to completely match the bushing outer diameter AND have a center hole large enough to slip over the sleeve. I had to take a stepped drill bit to my washers to enlarge the center hole just a little.

I installed these on my MKII also, exactly what the Doc said.

Not needed any longer, FFR fixed that issue a long time ago.

Hi Rich,

Please explain. Does this mean the current LCA sleeves are longer than in the past?

Thanks.

I used them on my Mk III. The Breeze part really did free up the suspension movement. Without the coilover in place I could easily lift it through it's full range with no binding. But I also heard it had been fixed by FFR, meaning they were providing longer sleeves - but not first hand experience.
