Follow the advice of Papa, edwardb and others, I completed the HS harness wiring and routing. Battery connected, fan wire connected, fuel pump connected, yellow wire connected to the - (negative) terminal on the coil. But I still have a few things to clarify:

1) I ran the orange coil/efi wire from the RF harness to the + (positive) terminal on the coil. I also need to run power to the HS pink wire. Can I split the coil/efi wire (use same wire) or do I need to run a separate wire? I prefer not to use the choke wire as I plan to use that for heated seats. And I plan to use the radio wire for footbox cooling. But I can run the wire to the ignition switch easily if needed.

2) I also ran the purple tach wire to the - (negative) terminal on the coil as well.

3) Oil pressure and Coolant temperature senders - I decided to run the Speedhut senders directly to the gauges. But they are about two feet too long. Since they are simple 2 wire cables, I plan to shorten and spice. Is this ok?

Just making sure on these. Thanks.

Vince,

All your assumptions are correct. I split off the orange EFI coil wire for power to my coil as well as to the keyed power for the Sniper. I used the Speedhut senders direct to my gauges, and the tach wire to the coil. Shorten the sender wires to suit.

Thanks for the help. First start soon....

I had planned to power the Sniper and coil from the same source but, Holley recommended against it. They want the Sniper on the cleanest power source available. The electric choke wire wasn't an option either. It was not hot in start with my wiring harness. In consult with Holley tech support I ended up using a relay using the coil power as a trigger and the dedicated battery power as the source for the supply to the Sniper. I fought a lot of RF interference issues initially and this was one of the recommended fixes. Don't know if this actually helped but, the Sniper is working great now.

Thanks. If I connect directly to ignition switch, will that be clean enough?

I also used a relay, but didn't want to complicate the response. I've not had any RFI issues, but every install is different. Did you de-pin the unused wires in the HS connectors?

I have not de-pinned as yet. Was going to diet after first start, just to make sure I had everything connected properly.

Okay, just be aware that all the unused wires are potential sources for RFI.
