Since the track width is so much narrower, how do you guys mod the regular 289FIA suspension to get the narrower width? Is the frame narrower? Are the frame attachment points the same width, but you shorten the suspension arms? Same frame, different attachment locations? Etc... Thank you!

Also, do the 289FIA & Mk4 have the same front end frame, and thus I'm assuming that Pin Drive for 289FIA & Mk4 are modded the same way to achieve pin drive width?

Did anyone answer you? I have the same question.

I'm going to go ahead and tackle this, since no one else has answered...

1) I believe the front suspension (the control arms) is/are common between the 289FIA car and the Mk IV.
2) To achieve pin drive width in the front, a shorter control arm was used: Pin drive width LCAs (https://www.factoryfiveparts.com/12508-1987-1998-pin-drive-width-front-lower-control-arms/)
3) These are no longer offered, I believe because there is no pin-drive width compatible rear suspension offered, anymore.

The "old" T-bird based IRS was available in pin-drive width
The new IRS is not...

My car is pin-drive width in the rear and standard in the front, because I wanted to run a "deep-dish" bolt-on wheel...
