trans removal

any body removed tranny with motor still in car?? it looks like its doable but wanted to check to see if anybody has done it on gen 3 before i get started
i tore up 2nd gear in my t5 and going to upgrade with stronger gears

T5 might come out, my TKO would not easily without cutting off some unused brackets or moving the engine forward a few inches. I ended up moving it back as far as possible and was able to pull the clutch out. I did not need to pull the tranny so I just left it on the jack. I have a 4 post lift so that helps but with covid I was working by myself.
