Hey All,
It's been awhile since I've posted on the forum but this winter I made a few changes to my cobra .
1st is the stainless side pipes I bought from a fellow member, I fixed them and modified them to suit my needs, they look great and sound just as good. Next was the new steering column with self cancelling turn signals, that's going to to so nice to have this summer !! And the last thing I did was to get rid of those ****ty original door hinges they sucked !! I looked for billet hinges premade but none are available for a Mark 1 so I spent a lot of hours and cad time to design my own. I'm proud to say they turned out great , no more wobbly misaligned doors ,and they close and open like butter.

yes, self cancelling turn signals! This is why I take my son with me- to remind me they are on. One question though, are you sure about the side louvers, seems they may be on the opposite sides.

Bob - what color is your car? (it looks a lot like mine - Lexus Brandywine)

And yes, it does look like your louvers are on the wrong side. Sorry!

Just curious. What are they air intakes for?

They were put on Cobras to let heat out of the engine bay. I would be that even in that direction, air will be coming out of them.

my buddy's body/paint guy put his louvres on backwards. it felt like a hairdryer was on my leg as a passenger at the 2019 cobra show.

One is for the heater or fresh air intake and the other will be for the air cleaner.

Not that it makes a difference but this is my drawing I based the hinges off

You are going to be forever answering the question about why your vents are on backwards. It is interesting what you have done with the heater and air intake. Behind the fender bulges, you are not going to be getting any kind of "ram air" effect if that is what you were going for. You would need the intake directly in the airstream and minimal bends (best, straight shot)
