Hello fellow enthusiasts. I just ordered my FFR MK4 Roadster complete kit today, complete with IRS and Wilwoods. I am looking forward to starting work on this when it arrives, hopefully in late June/early July. I'm sure I will have many questions and will need to pick all of your brains, so thank you in advance. I have already purchased a Ford Racing BOSS 351w short block with 427ci rotating assembly. I will be building the rest of the engine along the way and plan to pair it with a Tremec TKO 600 or TKX (haven't decided yet). Hopefully the London Cobra Show will be on this year and I will be able to meet some you in person.

Welcome Rod
I'm also in Dublin. Started my build in Jan of 2019. Let me know if you'd like to see my build sometime or need a hand. I've got the body on the chassis, so let me know if you want my body buck.

I would love to check out your build sometime, and I'm sure at some point, I will need a hand. If you need assistance with anything, let me know as well. I would love to take that body buck off of your hands. Just today I was thinking about going out and finding plans to build one. Thank you for the offer!

Hi Rob,

I’m also in Dublin, and we are building an 818 Street model. Previously built a Mk3 roadster some 12 years ago (my avatar picture). welcome to the madness. If you want to see what a F5 kit looks like and hear a Subie mid engine roadster start give me a shout.

Scott,

Good to know there are several fellow Dubliner's with FFR kits! I would love to check out your builds. My step son was thinking about getting an 818 kit also. Hopefully we can get past this cold weather and snow so I can get my garage prepped for delivery.

Rob,

What part of Dublin? We are close to Avery Park...FYI...if you see a big blonde kid go-carting an 818 soon drive the other way!

I am off Frantz Rd, near the Bonefish Grill. I will be sure to steer clear, lol.

Scott, I'm just off avery, south of Riviera. I'm surprised I haven't seen your cobra or go kart around. You'll probably find me practicing donuts in the avery Park parking lot this spring.

Cool, I’m to the east of Avery and north of St. Brigid, south of Brand road. We sold the Cobra back in 2011...so highly unlikely you’ve seen it around recently!

Welcome to the madness and the obvious Bromance you guys have started. Scott and his son Liam built a beautiful roadster way back when. The 818 project will be just as good and I know Liam is leading the charge, so get ready dad. As for other owners in your area, you may have the best luck with all the experienced builders in your neck of the woods. The cobra show is a great place to get ideas and then subsequently, spend all your money on cool upgrades. That's what happened to me. Worth every penny. I hope the London show can be held this year. It's been too long since seeing old friends and making new ones. Good luck on your build.
