I was next to this guy at at Shelby show on the Santa Monica pier. He went by "Herb." We talked about New York City stuff - riding the el, White Castle, and Chopped Cheese sandwiches from The Bronx. Sadly, I didn't know who he was even though I'm a fan of his 60's music. People were taking pictures with him, but I thought it was because of his owner status - after all, this was specifically a Shelby show.

I assumed he was a businessman or a college professor. I didn't realize who he was until a year later.

I had a very similar experience with Hank Williams Jr at the Fabulous Fords Show many years ago. He is a very nice, talkative man that won’t point out who he is unless you ask. He will talk about his car all day if you let him.
