I am happy to report my placing of order #076270 with Factory Five for a Mk IV Roadster base kit with IRS!!!

Whoo Hoo!!!!
It's only taken about 6 years on the other forum and all of the help to focus on what I do and don't want in my Roadster.

Brief Summary:
E-Ticket Ride’s Build Plan
Primarily built for street-use and cruising, with the occasional Autocross / Track day. Good opportunities to work with and teach my 16 year old son a bit of mechanical know how. • Suspension / Differential - independent front and rear suspension, with Torsen & 3.55/(3.27 for T-56)

Congrats - I ordered my kit as well and the completion date is the same time. I'm on the east coast, so maybe yours and mine will be in the same Stewart truck!

Great - I have been at it since 8/26/2011 - it has been fun!!!

to MVRight - I sent you a PM- and will post here too.

Hi,

I am in Freeland MD - about 15 minutes from you. I began my build on 8/26/2011. If you need any help or anything let me know!

Congratulations!!! Just be careful running the IRS with the Coyote engine. The axle shafts are rated for around 425hp. The coyote engine is right at the edge power wise for the IRS components. If you have sticky tires you will run the risk af snapping an axle.

Have fun, but proceed with caution!

IRS Goodies ordered from Forte's (Center section, Torsen, knuckles & hubs, poly bushings)
Battery box, thick firewall, less "holy" F panel, and E-Brake cover ordered from FFMetal

No screams from CC (or wife) yet!

I spent the weekend priming and painting the walls in the garage, mounting cabinets and building shelving. I have the corner with the laundry area to complete (since I need to take down the every 15 minutes load of laundry that seems to get done continuously).
After that, assembly the chassis dolly, body buck, and floor jack.
Soon to come - install the extra extra lighting, and install the stereo and speakers.
Contemplating routing the FIOS (and a TV) in the garage for races while working.

19 days to scheduled completion date
Then that long slow drive across the county in the back of a Stewart Big Rig

Chris, you lucky dawg!

You're gonna love the build! Lots of us would be willing to lend a hand, so don't be shy about throwing a build party!

When is the Coyote arrriving?

Probably going to wait until the credit card has a bit of time to recover before the Coyote and TKO-600 get ordered.
Still need to order Brakes and Pan from Richard Oben.

Thanks for the offer of help. You know I'll need it at least once during the build.
Man have I had loads of offers to help drink beer - I mean help unload once the kit arrives!!!:)

You mean, kind of like with a kid???:)

I'll have a 16 year old "assistant" already asking what are we doing this weekend to get ready for the kit arrival.

Sounds like a great build. Nice job of laying out a plan for it.
