65 Coupe Sanding Done, Custom Blue Pearl Metallic Base Paint Applied

With all of the sanding and body smoother completed (sanded to 600 Grit Sandpaper) the 65 Coupe was sealed with a grey sealer we tinted and applied the Custom Blue Pearl Metallic Base Paint to the complete body......

This important upgraded step of tinted sealer enhances the special pearls and metallic added to the Custom paint recipe we created to personalize the paint finish for the client.....

With the Custom Blue Base Paint cured, the stripes are measured and masked in place on the body. Wimbledon White is used for the stripes and driver rear section.

The rear driver side section is masked for its number 26 and painted with black base paint.

The next step will be applying the High Gloss Clear Coat Finish....

Thanks for posting your videos for the Type-65 Coupe.
Between you and Paul Borror (Edwardb), I'm feeling a lot better about the body fitment issues.
Though I'm not ready to take the plunge yet, I'm starting to feel a bit better about taking on a future project.

With the White stripes painted along with black painted on number, the body received 3 coats of Clear Coat Finish.

Both doors were also masked and painted and also received clear coat finish.

The doors were installed and adjusted to the body.

The work on the front nose continues......

The steps for the doors. After trimmed and fit to the body, they were sanded and smoothed and block sanded up to 400 grit sandpaper.

Grey sealer was applied as a base coat before the Custom Blue Pearl Metallic Base Paint was applied.

The masking was done for the "Bubble Gum Circle" then the black number was sprayed.

With all masking removed, both complete doors received 3 coats of high gloss Clear Coat Finish and installed and adjusted to the car body....
