It's like we always say, they're never done! I've been toying with a couple of modifications I want to make on my BMW M550i, and I pulled the trigger on a carbon fiber front spoiler.

Now to convince the wife that I need to cut off my perfectly good factory exhaust to replace it with a loud one. :p Looking at the lower end due to cost with a Dinan axle-back.

Also considering Eisenmann, but it's 50% more expensive and a lot louder:

Highly recommend the AC Schnitzer cat back. It has attitude!
That with the bmw carbon fiber diffuser is perfection at the rear

Steve,

I'd love to, but the price I'm finding on just the axle-back for the AC Schnitzer is ~$4,900, the mid-pipe is $1,200, and the diffuser is another ~$1,500 for the M Performance version.

The diffuser is about the same price I paid 3 years ago, the exhaust has definitely gone up - Think it was about 5K canadian installed.
When I got the car 3 years ago I went a little nuts making it how BMW should have built it - changed out all the Cerium Grey for black M parts, added the carbon splitter on the front, carbon side mirror covers and carbon rear diffuser and the exhaust change. Also added the 669M wheels for summer tires and the 668s the car came with I use in the winter. There's a link below to the ACS exhaust sound - initially with valves closed, then open and then closed again....

The wife would string me from the rafters if I went on that sort of shopping spree! My car has the carbon trunk lip and mirror caps from the factory along with the M Performance rocker decals and the 668M 20" wheels in that Cerium color along with all the Cerium trim parts.

What are your thoughts on the Dinan exhaust? I can almost see the wife allowing that one, and could fudge a bit to go with the Eisenmann at $3,500, but no way I could get away with $5K.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the side sills, didn't do the decal though :)
It's so hard to compare the different options as the recordings are so different. I seem to remember I thought the Dinan was a pretty mild upgrade and if I was going to spend silly money it better make a difference - but again that's based on some recordings.
The Eisenmann sounds good in this clip.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zwTY4fEDmg

These are the rocker panel decals (factory or dealer installed):

I'm also looking at the carbon rocker pieces (side skirt extensions).

Cool, when I got the rocker pieces they weren't available in carbon, only black.
Enjoy spending!!!

I had an Eisenmann on my 540 but when I did the long tube headers I took it off and sold it. Bought a nice 3.5” twin tip Vibrant stainless muffler (13 lbs) for less than $200. With the extra $$ from the sale of the Eisenmann I bought a TIG welder and stainless pipe to install the muffler.

Well, the wife likes the rumble from the roadster, but she's not warming up to a loud BMW. I've pulled the exhaust valve control fuse with the flaps open and that may be as loud as she will tolerate. I have to pick my battles. :o I think I can sneak a few more carbon fiber parts without raising concern from the boss.

I like the look and would like to add a splitter to my 2018 M550i. Can you let me know who the manufacturer is and what the part number is?

Wow! It's been a minute since I posted this in 2021. I got the spoiler from RW Carbon. I don't recall the specific part number, and their stuff changes all the time.

Good luck,
Dave

Thanks and you are correct. Your splitter looks different than what they are currently offering. It's great look on your car.
