I'm looking to possibly change from the polished valve covers that came with my motor. I'd love to see what you guys have used in the way of a tall valve cover. Seeing it in the engine bay of a Cobra and set up for business really helps me determine if I would like it vs. just looking at catalog pics.
The engine is a 351W-based 408. Here is what's on it now:

Looking for something that doesn't show every smudge and tiny scratch quite as easily. Thanks in advance, everyone!

Here is mine. Cars not done but it is installed in car. Just noticed a set for sale that looks great in “for sale parts”
I had Ansen make these for me... they have been good so far. I wanted something different than the normal 427 covers everyone uses. Ansen will make you any design you can come up with.

Keep in mind, my engine is a 347, not a 427. Most people see the valve covers and are happy they saw a 427 Cobra. :o

Don’t know if these interest you or not but, I have the ribbed Cobra Powered by Ford on 351 heads. They were too shallow for pedestal roller rockers and I increased their depth with spacers. The spacers were machined down to the thickness required to clear my rockers from their original thickness of 1.2 inches and bounded to the valve covers with the Right Stuff sealant. This allows them to act as one piece and use one valve cover gasket on each side.

I would of loved to have valve covers that said "COBRA" on them but unfortunately I couldn't find them in a high rise version. I did manage to find some covers that are similar to the Cobra breather and I am quit happy with them!

OK Gentlemen, Consider this one and scratch your heads trying to figure out what's going on.

I've seen guys use valve covers to hide coil packs on LS engines, but that's the first I've seen on a Coyote.

I went with these. They should clear my roller rockers.

Those are similar to what I'm leaning toward right now. I'm thinking these with a slightly thicker gasket would work, and I like the look. They're similar to what was on some 65-66 Shelby GT350s; Norm, I believe your heads are a truer copy of the originals from those cars. But I like the cast aluminum look vs the black, I think.

I couldn't find covers for Cleveland heads that said "Cobra" and fit over the rocker stud girdles, so I went with these:

These work with thick gaskets and a little clearancing work on the baffles.

I looked at these, and they look like they will fit any valve train.

I looked at these and I think they will fit almost any valve train.
