I have progressed to the Wilwood pedal box assembly and have a couple questions. I followed the instructions and pictures in the manual, marking the hole location for the brake and clutch switch from the rear side of the flange and installing the bracket on the front side. when I do this, two problems.

1) I have to adjust the switch all the way forward to make contact with the pedals. They barely make contact with the pedal and the pedal contact the 3/4" tube running across the pedal box (Master cylinders are not installed yet). I assume that when I install the MC I can adjust the pedal height to ensure that the pedal do not contact the cross bar (they are in front of the bar) but then they will not contact the switch.

2) the clutch switch contacts the rear bracket that attaches to the master cylinder studs and 3/4" tubes. The switch provided is exactly like the brake switch and not like the shorter round switch in the manual (picture below). The Bill of material calls out 2 ea of the brake switch so I assume the picture in the manual has not been updated.

I am thinking of switching the switch brackets to the forward side of the flange. This should provide more adjustment as well as eliminating the interference between the clutch switch and the bracket. Does anyone see any problems with this?

Switch the bracket to the other side.

Use whatever works. Mine are on the side nearest the pedal arms.

Also note that the switches have two sets of spade connectors and are supposed to operate in either normally open or normally closed depending which spades you use. At least in my manual, the brake light switch was indicated opposite of what worked. In other words, my brake lights were on until I pressed the pedal, then they turned off.

As Papa and RBachman said - try switching it to the other side. I also had to bend mine slightly to get it more vertical which helped make the switch level and make it fully engage the pedal.

(1) Agreed, other side. (2) Those are newer style switches than the old ones. Be thankful. They're better quality. Ignore the pictures. (3) Yes, you can adjust the pedal height once the MC's are installed. (4) No, you absolutely don't want the brake pedal arm hitting the chassis tube. You have to adjust the height so it doesn't.

Thanks for all the help. I ended up moving the pedal side and installing a tapered shim to help with the angle the switch engages with the pedal arms.
