Realize that your type of intake will matter too. Some tall valve covers will interfere with the stock Ford EFI intake. If you have a carb or carb like EFI it should not matter how tall they are.

I used the standard cobra valve covers with the comp roller rockers. I also installed a 1/2" spacer under the valve cover. Just make sure you tighten them down and recheck them after a few heat cycles. I had no issues.
