new mk4 trunk lid on a mk3

Hey guys, I've seen some posts stating the original mk4 trunk lid could be readily fit to the mk3, but I haven't seen one confirming the newer mk4 trunk lid (with the raised license plate) can be. I'm getting ready to give mine new paint and wanting to upgrade the lid. Has anyone done this conversion?

Yes it will fit ...LIKE SOCKS ON A CHICKEN !!!.....No , seriously it will fit just like yours or the original MK4. Alittlbitatrimmin and you are good to go....except you'll need to use the hidden mounts...da Bat
