I wanted to start a thread to see what unique or rare item, materials, parts or whatever complete or current builder have added.

Let's keep it to what is installed and not what may be planned, but has not yet been implemented.

Completely awesome. ROTFLOL

I don't get to contribute yet because the unique items I am including are only half way done...you'll have to wait until they are fully implemented. Muwhahahaha!

EDIT:

My secret little project right now is building a "poor man's ISIS" which consists of an electronic code lock
with a push button start. At the moment I have most of it wired and tested; soon it will be transfered to
circuit board and boxed up.

No longer happening. Opted for a 7 inch TFT touchscreen head unit.

I love that manifold! How is the rear view clearance?

My last car had the same problem, and I'm sure the GTM is going to experience dropping parts. I've already misplaced the camshaft
and the motor hasn't arrived yet! I'm pretty sure the heads will fall off at some point too. ;)

My new build has a problem with parts falling off too. The GM crates are prone to it!!

I'm doing a "no-donor" new parts build (SMC kit) using a LS376/480 but doing a few other things differently:

EFI: I dropped the factory EFI and am going with a full aftermarket system

Holley Dominator ECU - I think I've seen some other guys running the HP, the Dominator is the top of the line and capable of everything through multi-stage nitrous, boost control, and water/methanol injection. This first iteration of the build is using a fraction of the capability of this piece. It has available full LS harness line and good base maps to get you going. Will run dual O2 and other analog instrumentation harness integration
Victor Jr L92 with Intake Elbow, 90mm TB, MAF
Trick Flow injectors, Edelbrock rails, etc

68096810

Cooling:
Remote electric water pump
Canton rear tank
Custom fabricated coolant hard lines

Engine oil cooler w/boost fan
Transmission oil cooler w/boost fan
Remote ECI-45 oil filter

Tranny:
CMS G96 6 speed gearbox, KAAZ 1.5 LSD, CMS billet cable shifter

Shoes:
Z06 wheels w/ dark gray powdercoat - no spacers 18x9 and 19x12
C6 Z06 brakes w/ all stainless custom bent lines and AN-3 fittings
Nitto INVO rubber 245 front 335 rear
681168126813

Electrics:
Holley Dominator CANBUS gauges and LCD
CANBUS gateway
ISIS w/LCD - actually my third system, did our 2 Mopars as complete electrical retrofits

Other:
Kooks Exhaust (exits will get modified) and other Shane stuff to come
Ron's tanks and Aeromotive fuel system

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Everything you're looking at in pics is for mock-up purposes and a lot will come apart again - thats why you don't see the rear aluminum around the A-arms, "CORVETTE" on calipers, etc. I read about Gen2 body fit issues some had, so it was worth it to me to mock up everything underneath with tires to see side-to-side and wheel arch details.

Next we are mocking up engine and transaxle to get a good look at rear tranny mount mods and all the plumbing.

I have to admit body fit on mine works out pretty good where FF screwed it down. No real issues.
Body work plan includes roof scoop, custom side scoops, exhaust exit flanges, and custom tail light treatment in later installment

Hey man, going to be frikin nice.
I noticed we have the same brakes, one of us has them upside down. I believe that the bleeders should be on top. I'm sure you know that, just checking.

Yes, the bleeder should always be at the highest point otherwise the air will not purge, and you will have mushy brakes.

Thanks Roger, this is my favorite mod, easy too.

1"x3/4" flat bar cut into 2-1/2" pieces, drilled and tapped 7/16 fine on a drill press. I just bolted them to the A-Arms and used c-clamps to hold in place while I aligned them to the botton edge of the 1" square tube and leveled vertically with my I-phone. I played with Crash's shim kit and a Speedway alignment tool and was able to get 6.5 deg caster with -1 deg camber. I then shimmed to get -2.5 deg camber for a track setting and ended up with 4.1 degrees caster.

The best part is everything is locked in and repeatable if you have to take anything apart.

The lights look pretty good! I wouldn't expect them to take up so much space; they don't seem that big on the GT-R.

My latest addition that appears to be unique is an oil accumulator system that will protect the motor in the event of pressure/volume loss.
This setup also allows for automatic prime of the oil path before every start. No more dry bearings!

It seems like you have transplanted the guts of the Vette into your GTM, and then some! I'm curious to know
whether you felt a big difference between manual, and assisted steering? I'm finding the manual steering incredibly/surprisingly
easy on my car.

Here's an EVAC kit that I'll be plumbing soon. I've got everything except the valve cover-side components.
If I'm not mistaken, I may be the only one using this type of CC vent system aside from maybe Crash? If
anyone else has a completed system, I'd like recommendations for the valve cover fittings!

21585

Judging the feel of the manual to the C5 magnasteer ......... The C5 rack requires even less effort when the GTM is not moving. I can turn the steering wheel from lock to lock with the GTM sitting still with my index finger.

Because of the light weight and that less than 50% of it is forward of the GC, the manual rack was surprisingly easy to turn. My primary reason for the mod was not about the effort required to turn the wheel.

I wanted a quicker response. ~3.25 turns verses ~2.25 with the C5 rack. Far less feedback to the steering wheel so you can drive the GTM at speed without worrying that the next bump or road issue will point the GTM in an undesirable direction. And the variable effort that of the magnasteer system that varies with vehicle speed. The position and dimensions of the C5 rack also sets up for virtually "zero" bumpsteer.
