If you don't want to buy one from Factory Five, hardtops are available from several non-supporting vendors. I expect that a Google search will yield 1 or 2 sources. HTH, Keith HR #894

I’ve got one down in Louisiana that you can have. But it ain’t made right. One side the A pillar is too far back. When trying to heat it up and spread it out (per ffr’s direction, it cracked under the windshield opening as I figured it would. But if you want it, and willing to come get it, it’s yours lol.

The Gen I 33 top will require considerable cutting and reshaping to fit a Gen II. The front posts were never adjusted to the reworked Gen II changes. The front is almost 1/2 too narrow and it and will not line up with the front of the doors. You cannot reshape it with heat or pressure. It has to be cut and reshaped while it is sitting on the car. There is no current liner. FFR offers flocking for the interior.

Also, do not rely on Nutserts to secure the top...they will not survive. IMO

Good info, it's hard to know what the gen1/2 changes affect. That said, I have gen 2 doors (gen1 internals) on a gen 1 body and gen 1 hard top - no issues. The slots for the power window on the top of the doors likely get cut in a slightly different spot but it works. A bit of reshaping needing where they meet up with the dash and the external contours are slightly different but easily taken care of during body prep.

Well, maybe sometimes that's true.

But I have a 2 year old gen1 hardtop and it fit perfectly on my Gen 2 body. Like, I never even considered it wouldn't fit, and there was no hint of trouble. Every surface lined up.
