Getting what sounds like an air leak out of my driver’s side pipe on acceleration. Doesn’t happen at idle, but it sounds different at high speeds when I pass cars compared to the passenger side. Also when I accelerate.

I put my hand in the end of the side pipe and there are lots of strands of a insulation mesh material embedded into the side pipe that comes out on my fingers. I took a picture inside the pipe and the ends of the baffle look a little torn up and damaged. I can see this mesh sticking out of it.

I’m assuming that air is getting around the baffle and creating the air leak noise. Anyone experience that before?
