I fabbed my own seat mounts and installed this belt. The hardest part is convincing yourself to cut into a perfectly good seat.

Yours came out as well as mine and I hired an upholsterer! Nice job!

Nice work. What are you using for the rectangular grommet to line the opening?

Very nice work. I just picked up a set of the grommets and am thinking through the project prior to picking up the exacto knife. Curious where you anchored the strap. I have an adjustable seat so Im considering teathering the strap to the aluminum seat frame as opposed to through bolting to the static floor pan. That way it would slide with the seat and be retained by multiple 1/4 x 20 bolts with the seat. Any thoughts from the group as to if that would be sufficiently strong? Have my doubts that the floor is stronger even with a sizeable backing washer.

I mounted it to X framing under the floor. I would not mount it to the seat or the floor pan because God forbid the worst happens you want to he secured to the frame. I am the only person that drives this car so the seat never has to be moved.
