My driver side exhaust opening is a perfect 90 degrees vertical. After much adjusting the best I can get my passenger side results in it pointing down 15 degrees. As best as I can tell me engine is level. Considering using an exhaust wedge to turn the opening up. When holding a level vertical against the exhaust opening, the gap is 1", which means I need to rotate 0.5". Having a hard time translating that into the proper wedge for my application. Any thoughts or advice?
One other thought, i could also use the wedge on the driver side and turn it down 15 degrees, how much would this reduce noise?

Somewhat confused by your questions. Wedges are normally used only to move the tip of the exhaust in or out so the side pipes are parallel to the body. Sometimes the pipes are not parallel to the ground, so the normal practice there is to enlarge the bolt holes or use a smaller bolt so the pipe can rotate on the header flange enough to be parallel. Note the newer ball flange design that Factory Five is using should make this process easier and (maybe?) not require wedges. No personal experience there though.
I've personally not heard of using wedges in the manner you're describing to somehow rotate the pipe angle down. The flange on the headers is normally pointing down. Probably in the 15 degree range or so you've described. You're saying one side is nearly perpendicular and the other is around 15 degrees? Something isn't right with that. Unless I'm completely not understanding. The picture below shows a pretty normal angle that the side pipes exit the body opening.
Couple other points. You would never try to adjust your pipes to the pre-cut body openings. They are purposely undersized and intended for you to custom fit. So first get the pipes where you want them. Then fit the body. Regarding noise, having the tips pointed down slightly like the Gas-N pipes in this picture does seem to help a little with the noise right by the driver or passenger ear. But doesn't change the overall DB level.
It might be helpful if you described in a little more detail what engine, headers and side pipes you're trying to fit.

If you’re looking to adjust the up down angle you can switch the flange bolts from 3/8 to 5/16. Gives plenty of room to adjust, I had to do that on my driver side.

Breeze Exhaust Wedges Work Well To Adjust The Pipes Up or Down and In or Out!
I have a couple of Mark's wedges on my car and did the 5/16" bolt trick (1-3/8" & 3-5/16" Bolts) to adjust the angle of the dangle on my car.
I may add one more wedge just to tweak/tuck the passenger side up just a bit because I'm 100% O.C.D. about stupid stuff like that.

Hope This Helps!

I am running a 347 BP with the FF headers and pipes, the opening have been trimmed enough that they don't impede movement of the pipe. I will give the 5/16 bolts a try.

I would definitely turn one down vs up. I can't say how much it helps but I put new ends on mine and turned them down 45 deg. It was a noticeable noise reduction. BTW you can buy turn downs easily for little $s from Summit or Jegs.
