Hi all,

I know I am not good for 3D stuff so can someone send me a pic of how the Cockpit Upper Outside Corner is installed?
The drawing in the manual is of no use to me, seems I can’t figure out how it must be installed in real life.
TIA

Francois

Do you mean these? They are a bit confusing. Also not the best fit. I added some pieces to improve the fit around the roll bar.

Yes, that’s it.
Looks like yours have some kind of a flange I don’t have.
Did you bend it yourself?

Nope. Pictures I posted were exactly how I received them from Factory Five. Looks like they've made a change. Not sure how they intend for you to attach them now. Just glue them in? Or tape maybe?

The bend would have been welcome...
I’m wondering why they would not keep doing it...
And it’s not a mistake since both parts, left and right, are not bent.
I will probable add a « 90 degree elbow» that I’ll rivet in place plus lots of wheaterstrip.
Thanks for your time Paul!

My guess is that it's just a mistake— the same person made them and dropped them right in a box to send them to you, and forgot to do that part. I could see why not having that bend would confuse you how they fit in there (since the instructions alone are basically non-existent) :D

Final word on this.
I called FFR. With pics they saw there was a mistake.
They are sending me replacements.
So all is well.
Thanks!

Yeah, I see from your original pictures they just missed a bend. Didn't notice that before obviously. Usual good customer service replacing them. Would be an easy fix if you had a bending brake. Or that .040 bends pretty easily across a straight edge in a vise. But new correct parts is obviously the best option. FYI, when you do the factory tour, you can see the aluminum parts are all stored as flats. They they're bent on demand when kitting the car. So easy to see how a bend could be missed. Not excusing it. Just saying how it could happen.

No bending brake here.
I would’ve done a mess with my vise I believe.
Anyway, as you said CustomerService is excellent.
Parts are already on Fedex.
Thanks again!
