My door latches don't look like the one pictured in the manual. The manual says if using exterior
door handles you need to drill another hole in the lower arm 9/16" from the existing hole. There's
not room to do that. Is mine a newer version that you use as is?

What revision is your manual?..... The manual I have (Rev 3H, June 2020) has you adding one clevis to the hole in the upper arm for interior handle only and two clevises (one on each side) to the upper arm for interior & external handles. The lower arm is for the little knub handles on the latch itself. See the pic I attached, I'm running interior & exterior handles, I also installed the knub handle on mine as a backup if needed.

Also, do you have a Gen 1 or Gen 2 Kit?

Your latch looks like mine so if you have a Gen1 kit / manual you need the pages from a newer manual if your latch is newer..

Also, the mounting holes on the latch don't match the holes on the door frame. Do i just drill the frame to match or do I have the wrong frame part?
I'm sure not getting much help from FF. Why can't we talk to them on the phone instead of all this email? Sometimes it's 2 or 3 days before I get a response.

My rod is a Gen 1 and my manual is Revision 20, January 2017.

Hey Dale......The whole door support frame is a completely different set up between Gen 1 & Gen 2 from what I understand. I would think you can just drill new holes in the frame to mount the latch but I do not know that for sure.

Not sure who you're working with at FFR but I normally get responses the same day on e-mail...agree calling would be easier but considering the times were in I can understand why that is not an option.
