Donor gauge pod

I have a Mark III that has a donor gauge pod out of a 1989 Mustang. I bought the car as built with donor gauge and gauges. I have since installed FF Vintage electrical gauges with GPS speedo. Can I remove the gauge pod now, or does anything else (system) go through the gauge pod, since there is a computer involved as it is EFI 5.0? It the gauge pod only for gauges? Thank you in advance.

I know there’s a fuel module that doesn’t show the sloshing of the gas in the tank. You might be able to remove that module and dump the pod.
