Looking for computer program

Hi all,
Anybody have recommendations for any programs that you have used to do conceptual drawings/paintings for the 33. I’m at that stage and want to do some conceptual drawings so I can see how it will look and for the painter. Also I’m computer challenged so the simpler the better thanks.

Vman7 used to post renderings of his design ideas for the '33, but I haven't seen anything from him for about 2 years now.

IIRC, JOP33 posted drawings of his car well before he went to paint.

You could PM these guys to ask what s/w they used.

let me know if you need tech help installing, I have a thread from their (helpful) support dept when I was getting it going. It relies heavily on an activeX component in IE, and my A/V didn't like it, and I couldn't run in a VM. But once setup it is a fun tool to play with!

Not sure how long ago you installed it RoadRacer, but I had completely the opposite experience recently (July 2020). I also tried to install it on a VM and couldn't get it running. Several emails to the support desk went unanswered and HOK Australia couldn't help me. They suggested there was some kind of dispute between HOK and the developer and it wasn't being supported anymore.
In the end, I raised a case with Paypal and got a refund through them. Beware!

Yeah it was 3 years ago I used it and I've had chats with a few people recently that suggest that the app is obsolete and unsupported now. Looks like the technology they used is even deprecated.

I installed it about a year ago. Needed assistance as well, but the developer did answer his phone so got it working. It has a learning curve also, but was helpful at least in playing with some ideas. It didn't have the option for bike fenders so wasn't complete for my design. I ended up making my latest mockup by using someone else's photo (from here) as a starting point and then modifying.

Give forum member Ash a shout, he does the FFR's calendars for the community, and he did a project for me a while back and it turned out great

Go to your local High School or College and ask if anyone is interested in drawing and coloring for you as a school; project. Most times its free and you also get to try a bunch of different schemes. I would "tip" the student however as most times they go way beyond and can use the extra money, especially these days!!
