Is there a serial number /part number plate on the Coyote engine? Anyone know the location?

Hi Joe,
I'll look at the Coyote engine I have at work tomorrow.

Thanks for posting the question Joe. I was just getting ready to ask this so that I can get my car inspected to start the registration process.

Joe, I checked the Coyote we have here for a project and it only has the assembly plant ID sticker (build date, QR code, etc.) on it. Being production engines I don't think FRPP has to add anything to them, versus the crate engines that are built for FRPP, which usually have a metal tag riveted to them with PN, serial number, date of build, etc.

HTH...

I sure hope the State Police inspector buys that explanation....

I have Coyote out of a 2012 GT on the way. Should be here this weekend. I'll check and see if there's anything on a production car motor.

I called Ford Racing. They said there is a sticker on the valve cover. I just verified that it is on the driver side valve cover. Like Joe said, I hope the State police buy that this is the only "verification".

That's the sticker I was refering to with plant info and QR code. It does not appear to have any sort of serial number though...

Hi Joe,
The engine numbers are on the right side just above the pan rail in front of the engine mount.
