View Full Version : Emergency brake...

Has anyone had any challenges with the location of the emergency brake handle vs where the e-brake cables attach to the frame. It looks to me like I must either relocate the handle to the top of the transmission hump or relocate the bracket that the cables snap into, to lower in the frame more in line with the current handle location.....
Thanks for any insight or info.

I decided I didn't want the handle on the passenger side floor and so I moved it to the top of the transmission tunnel. I then just cut out the bracket that came with the car and made a new mechanism based on info from other coupe builders. There are many set ups that have been used but I think they all work similarly in principle. I picked one and copied it (more or less).
I haven't posted any pictures on this site yet but I'll try. You can have a look in my Photobucket account link below.

Fluge,
Thank you for the info and great pictures. You are another one of the craftsman in this forum that I can only hope to imitate. You have one fine build going.
Thanks again.

I am somewhat new to the community thus have missed the previous threads and discussions regarding this coupe. I would love to contact you diretly be email to ask some questions. I have contemplated a coupe build for quite some time andhave been hesitant due to the cramped leg room, even though i love the overall design of the coupe, I am not a purest.
how did you achieve the extra length? . . . . . .and several more questions await.

I think you have the wrong thread. But any extra length in my build, I owe to my gorgeous wife. ;)
